Simangaliso Themba Dladla is a musician mostly known as Smashizo, he is also a radio and tv presenter, as well as dancing and modeling.
He was born in Mayfield extension, and currently based There. He always had a passion for entertainment and becoming an entertainer. Currently, he is busy with an EP EP and he promises that he will drop it soon. The project is a combination of Amapiano and Hip hop genres. He is the founder of a clothing brand named SkelemDripWear.
He wish to inspire other upcoming artists in his hometown, artists who are also struggling and come from a background of poverty, but also have passion for arts and wish to put themselves out there for exposure and recognition. He also wish to be a shield and a beacon for those artists who do not think they make it or who do not believe in themselves or their dreams enough to keep going. In 10 years time, he wants to be a well known Musician along with his brand.
"Getting gigs has been a lot harder. And performances don't pay that much with smaller audiences attending the shows. Distributing has not been affected that much as we do that online and have gotten a social media presence. The upside, however, is that the market has become narrower, which makes it easier for us to define our target audience", he said.
